From Architecture to UX Design: Lina Darweash's internship story at Infobric
Lina Darweash, a recent UX/UI graduate from Hyper Island, is an example of what can unfold when passion, learning, and real-world impact align. With a background in architecture and a will to create human-centred digital experiences, Lina joined Infobric as an intern to take her next big step-and found herself immersed in a journey of growth and transformation.

Hi Lina! Tell us a bit about your background.
- My name is Lina Darweash, and I recently graduated as a UX/UI designer from Hyper Island. I’m driven by a mission to design thoughtful, human-centred experiences that seamlessly integrate form, function and empathy.
How did you know about Infobric Group, and why did you choose to do an internship with us?
- I discovered Infobric through industry connections during my time at Hyper Island. What immediately stood out to me was the company’s mission to create safer, smarter, and more sustainable workplaces within the construction industry.
What was your experience like during your time here?
- My time at Infobric has been an immersive and rewarding learning journey. I had the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and address real user challenges, while exploring original solutions that balanced conversion optimization with inclusivity, compliance, and accessibility.
What opportunities for learning and growth have you had while working here?
- Working alongside an incredible team of developers and my mentor, Jobsafe’s Growth Manager, I focused on enhancing the user journey at Jobsafe through improved visual design, accessibility, and conversion optimization. My work included refining product information layout, enhancing content presentation and checkout flow, as well as restructuring the information architecture to deliver a more engaging and seamless user experience.
How do you think this internship will impact your future career or academic pursuits?
- Thanks to my mentor and everyone who supported me throughout this journey, this experience marked a meaningful milestone in my transition from architecture to a UX/UI design.
